Mike Przybysz
Name:
Mike Przybysz
Connection to Daily Creek Music:
I was introduced to Melissa and the rest of the gang by Lonnie Buller who plays bass for the band. Both Lonnie and I live in Ashland, NE and have made up the rhythm section in our church praise and worship band since April 2006.
Family:
I’ve been blessed with the joy of sharing my life with my wonderful wife Pam since November 1988 and my incredible sons Jake (since August 1991) and Josh (since June 1993). I have 4 older siblings (sisters Lucy Ann, Susie, Cathy and brother, Rob) and was raised by a wonderful mom (Helen) and a wonderful dad (Bob who went to be with the Lord 3/27/08). I’m also blessed with a great father and mother in-law (Roger and Sharon) whom we share a home with.
Background:
I was born and raised in Buffalo, NY (where my Mom, 3 sisters and 1 brother still reside) and graduated from Buffalo State University with a degree in criminal justice. Two weeks after graduation in June of 1985, I relocated to Omaha, NE. I met my wife Pam in June of 1986 and the rest is history.
Hobbies:
Hockey, model railroading, scuba diving, drumming.
Accepted Christ as Savior:
After meeting my ‘soon to be’ wife, she began to ask me a lot of questions about my faith up to that point in my life. I started getting very frustrated with my nonsense answers and I began to reflect on the answers she was giving to my questions. Her answers were very clear and to the point, something I’ve never really heard before and she lived them. It made me realize that she and her family had something that I wanted and that something was a Savior to bridge the huge gap between God and me. Fortunately, in the summer of 1986, I went further than just wanting a Savior and I took the next and most important steps: Believing that Jesus was the only way to experiencing eternal life with God in heaven and Asking Jesus to come into my life, forgive me for all the sins I had committed and was yet to commit, and to save me from eternal separation from God.
Favorite scripture passage:
James 5:16 — Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.
Most fun I’ve ever had:
Vacationing with my wife and sons, exotic location scuba diving and snorkeling, relaxing and visiting with friends and family, fixing and building things, riding ATV’s, playing drums in Praise and Worship bands and many others.
My favorite quote:
“Don’t think of yourself as any better or worse than anyone else.”
