Greetings from Daily Creek Music!
We have had a busy summer here at Daily Creek Music. Although the first part of the summer was relatively slow as we took time off for family activities, vacations, and rehearsals, we are now in full swing!
Just last week we performed at 5-Star Bible camp in southern Nebraska as a trio. John, Sara, Marlan (sound), and myself found ourselves in front of a camp full of young people who longed to know God in a more intimate way. As we all sang, prayed, reflected upon God's word, and even danced before Him, the Spirit of God moved in a mighty way. The evening served as a great reminder that in the busyness of life, we need to pull away, find a retreat, and give God our full attention so that we can better focus our minds on Him and on what He has to say. I know that my prayer is that I will be able to spend quality time with God on a daily basis…..not just on special occasions.
During the next few weeks our team is going to find ourselves in front of hundreds of people on different occasions. It is always humbling to look out at the faces in a crowd and know that God designed each person in His image. My prayer is that God will speak to the masses through the songs that we sing, the words that we say, and the way in which our team lives our lives. Pray with me that through these concerts many will come to know God as Savior in a personal way. Pray that those who claim Him as Savior will be drawn to a deeper, more intimate relationship with Him. Pray then that we all will be open and willing to GO and TELL others of His great love.
