Daily Creek Music

Name:
Terry Anderson
Connection to Daily Creek Music:
I've played on worship teams and with choirs with Melissa for about five years and was blessed to be asked to be a part of her band for the Fall Like the Rain release concert.
Family:
Mom & Dad, two sisters, one brother. Everyone lives in Lincoln except my little sis, Lori, who lives in Dallas. It's HOT down there…don't know how she does it. My wife, Kelli, is both kind and strong, and helped lead me back to Christ. I have two boys and a girl. Tate is 6, Kaia is 4, and Eliot is 2. They're all at once gift and inspiration. They have taught me so much about God's love.
Background:
I was born and raised in Lexington, NE. After graduation, I came to Lincoln to attend UNL. I earned a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature and met my wife while finishing up school. We both worked at a local Hy-Vee (she was the cute girl from customer service that would always walk by and smile, but never say anything). Eventually she cracked and the rest is history!
Hobbies:
I love anything related to guitars. I love golf and Nebraska football. I also like reading and biking. My number one hobby is spending time learning about life from my kids.
Accepted Christ as Savior:
I was probably about nine or ten and was visiting my aunt, uncle, and cousins who farmed outside of Gothenburg, NE. They explained the process of being saved. I accepted Christ as my personal Savior at that time. Although I later strayed, I always knew that I was different….that this world was not my home. To the Petersons….I am eternally grateful.
Favorite scripture passage:
Proverbs 3: 5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. I need to hear that verse every hour of every day.
Most fun I've ever had:
Being present for the births of all my kids was very cool…even though I got faint every single time (I'm proud to say I never actually passed out…although it was pretty closeJ) Since I really dig Nebraska football, the three National Championships we won in the nineties were a blast, even though I watched all three on television and not from the stands.
My favorite quote:
William Shakespeare (since we share the same birthday and I read a lot of his work in college): Give every man thine ear, but few thy voice; take each man's censure but reserve thy judgment.
